Every hardcore Star Wars fan know the "1138" attachment to any and everything Lucasfilm. Everyone knows THX-1138 was George Lucas's first film. Since then, other famous directors, fans and film buffs alike look for the "1138" in other movies. It's the ultimate easter egg hunt! You can see "1138" from movies like American Graffiti to South Park. It's in movies like Mission Impossible to Oceans 11. Ever since I was a kid I would write "1138" at the end of anything that I wrote. I would write "Spelling Test 1138" in sixth grade. I would write "1138" on any work report. It would say, "New Customers 1138" on my header sheets. So, when it came time to name my business I knew two things. One, it would have to have "Collectibles" in the name. Two, whatever I named it, it would have "1138" at the end:)
I thought it would be fun to leave clues to when the "1138" has shown up:
In "The Matrix" at the end, when Neo places a call from a phone booth, the cascading digits freeze and the number 1138 can be seen brighter than the rest in the bottom-right corner
In "Oceans 11" the code Linus uses to unlock the security door leading to the safe is "1138"
In "District 9" during the first opening shot of the mother ship, "11:38" is the time recorded on the camera.
In "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" "1138" is in roman numerals in Dr. Jones's notebook in the library scene.
A THX-1138 reference appears in this film when over the loudspeaker of the Nazi sub the following numbers are heard, "eins, eins, drei, acht." (German for one-one-three-eight.)
Boushh' (Leia in bounty hunter disguise) helmet has "1138" written on it.
In Smallville, the secret experiment that is behind the cases of vampirism is called "Project 1138"
In "Reign Over Me" Adam's shrink's office is numbered 1138.
In Star Wars (A New Hope) the cell block in the Death Star that Leia is held in is cell block 1138.
At Disney World, while you're waiting for Star Tours, an announcement says "Will the owner of a landrover with vehicle number THX 1138 please move your vehicle? You're parked in a non-hovering zone.
In American Graffiti Paul Le Mat's deuce coupe license plate is THX-138
In Supernatural in season 8 episode 22 Sam and Dean are working on case number 1138, they find a short film in the evidence files for case 1138
